Editing: Recording and Editing Radio Trailer

As a class we took a look at various radio trailers to identify and analyse the codes and conventions of radio trailers.

Cultural Documentary BBC4It contained;
Different accents/ and languages brought together to tell a story
Different cultures




BBC Weather trailer
It contained;
Sound effects
Voiceover
Humour
Different sound levels
Clear female voice giving schedule, title and channel at the end



Special Needs pets
It contained;
Music bed
Female voiceover
Clips from the documentary
Sound effects
Scheduling at end

These are screenshots taken from the editting stages of our radio trailer, it was editted in a different programme to the documentary called Adobe Soundbooth, and like Adobe Premire Pro it made it easy to create a professional radio trailer. We were taking clips from the documentary and simply removing the video to leave us with the audio. At this point we would carefully edit the sound levels in order to have a smooth sounding outcome, with no point being too loud or quiet...




Here we had to carefully edit the ends of the clips that we had put together in order for them to run smoothly togther, so zooming into the timeline gave us this advantage to do so.
